Science Fair

The Silver Mesa Science Fair will be Wednesday, January 24, 2018 with projects on display for our annual STEAM night on Tuesday, January 23, 2018.

Students doing a project will be required to research a subject and have hands-on experience with the subject. They will also be required to prepare a poster for their presentation.

Detailed information packets have been sent home with students that returned an interest form and opted for the printed version. For those that opted for a digital version, please click on the corresponding link below:

PTA Awards

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we are extremely grateful to have so many wonderful educators, staff and volunteers in our Silver Mesa family. This year, a few of these exceptional individuals have been nominated to receive awards from the state of Utah PTA Organization. 

We would like to include comments, memories and highlights shared by you parents and your children as part of the nomination process.  If any of these individuals have touched the lives of your children and family, please simply email silvermesapta@gmail.com .  Please include 2-3 short sentences and your name or your child’s name.  Photos are also welcome.  We would love to include as many comments as we can to let these individuals know what a difference they make every day.

It's that fun time of year when the school community council gets the whole community involved in raising funds to buy electronics for our school. PTA is proud to support this event. Book Fair Volunteers Needed

 Volunteers Needed

Dear Parents,

It’s the event you’ve been waiting for, the spring book fair!!  It will be running in conjunction with literacy month and opening night will be Tuesday March 21st at our literacy night Harry Potter event. Many of you have asked for opportunities to help out at a book fair and here is your chance! Below is a list of several opportunities to come and help out. As a thank you all of our volunteers will receive a $5 coupon good for any books at the fair. We appreciate all the help you give us, we couldn’t do it without you!!!

TOMORROW is Family Night at Cafe Zupas in quarry bend. If you are going to eat out tonight pick Cafe Zupas at Quarry Bend. Remember to mention to your cashier that you are supporting Silver Mesa Elementary. They will send us a % of $$ brought in to the restaurant by Silver Mesa Supporters between the hours of 5-9. Valentine's day is coming up. The kids will all have class parties on that day (it is a Tuesday). All of our room parents will need volunteers to keep everything running smooth.
